Trips

February 2010. Week end trip to the Abrolhos Islands (off the Western Australian coast near Geraldton) with a bunch of windsurfers, surfers and kitesurfers. Unforgettable trip: 2 nights on a boat, massive swell, breaking mooring on the 2nd night behind one of the islands, awoken by engines and winch, captain going "we're in a bit of a trouble right now" when I asked what all the movement was all about, riding empty waves... joy!

Windsurfing

Another really cool vid by Frans Den Hartogh, filmed at Gnarloo (North Western Australia) in october this year (2010). It really conveys the feel of this place...

A funny one

A child speaking for the children - in 1992!!...

This one may seem pretty grim, perhaps out of place with these other videos of people enjoying great times in nature and with other people. It's not so out of place, we should be mindful of the suffering of others and do something about it as much as we can / our time allows us, but we can enjoy life and be happy at the same time. I believe the best way to do both is to do them together, by enjoying activities that do not put pressure on our ecosystems and other communities on the other side of the globe. The stuff you buy that make you feel or look good today will be ordinary tomorrow. How about skills (dancing, games, discussions, etc...) that will never stop making you feel and look good, for you can always refine them, teach and learn from other people...? A continuously enriching life of interaction.
